Mehmet Edip Akyol

I was born in the Erciş district of Van, Turkey. I attended primary school in Konya, and completed my middle and high school education at a state boarding school in Van. I received my medical education at Atatürk University and completed my residency (specialization) at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. I currently practice as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, where I was appointed following the completion of my specialization. I am married and a father of two children. I am a member of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society (and its sub-groups) as well as the International Spine Society.
